1. What Tarraki Local is

Tarraki Local ("Local") is a directory and profile experience for local trades, vocational skills, and neighbourhood work across India. It is part of the Tarraki platform but is separate from your professional Tarraki network profile.

Local helps people discover workers and post PIN-code based requirements or local jobs. It is a listing and contact venue — not an employer, agency, escrow service, or payment processor.

Having a Tarraki account does not automatically create or publish a Local profile. You must accept these Local terms to activate Local.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to activate Tarraki Local. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian consents to your use of Local.

Restricted student accounts (under 13) may not activate Local. You must have an active Tarraki account in good standing and accept the Tarraki User Agreement and Privacy Policy.

3. Activating your Local profile

By selecting “I agree”, you activate a Local profile linked to your existing Tarraki account (or the account you just created via /local/join).

You can then add your display name, photo, mobile number, trades/skills, languages, locality (PIN code / area), work photos, and optional social links so people nearby can find you when your profile is complete.

Incomplete Local profiles are not shown publicly until required fields are filled. You may edit or stop using Local later; deactivating Local does not by itself delete your Tarraki account.

4. Accurate information

You agree to keep your Local details truthful and up to date — especially your mobile number, skills, work photos, and serviceable area.

Impersonating another worker, claiming skills or certifications you do not have, posting misleading prices or contact details, or using another person’s photos is not allowed.

5. Contact and visibility

If you mark your mobile number as public, people viewing your Local profile may call or message you (including via WhatsApp or other channels you list). You can change this setting later.

You are responsible for how you respond to contacts. Do not share others’ private data without permission. Tarraki may limit or hide contact fields to reduce abuse.

6. Requirements, local jobs, and offline arrangements

Members may post PIN-based requirements or local job needs, and Local members may browse and respond. Listings are user-generated; Tarraki does not verify every post or worker.

Any work, visit, quote, payment, or contract is solely between the people involved. Tarraki does not guarantee work, quality, safety, payment, or attendance, and does not hold funds or mediate disputes unless we expressly offer that in writing.

Use ordinary caution for in-person meetings (for example meeting in public places, verifying identity, and not sharing unnecessary personal documents).

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Local. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:

• Harassment, threats, discrimination, or sexual misconduct toward people who contact you or whom you contact
• Spam, scams, phishing, or deceptive job or service offers
• Sharing illegal content or arranging unlawful, unsafe, or exploitative work
• Scraping or harvesting Local directory data without permission
• Using Local to advertise unrelated products at scale in a way that harms the directory experience

8. Safety and liability

Neighbourhood work and in-person contact carry inherent risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tarraki is not liable for injury, property damage, unpaid wages, poor workmanship, theft, or other harm arising from meetings or jobs arranged through Local.

You agree to comply with applicable labour, tax, licensing, and consumer laws for any work you offer or hire.

9. Relationship to the Tarraki User Agreement

These Local terms apply in addition to the Tarraki User Agreement and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict about Local-specific features, these Local terms guide that use; otherwise the User Agreement applies — including acceptable use, content licence, moderation, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law.

Tarraki may update Local terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date and version. Continued use of Local after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, do not use Local.
